Duncan Daze Dunk Tank – Huge Success!

We had a blast at the Duncan Daze Cowichan United Way Dunk Tank this past weekend and raised a total of $1196.00 including $100 from Atchison, Palmer, and Leslie Chartered Accountants and $100 from Don and Natalie Hatton of Duncan Motorsports. Thanks to everyone who contributed to make this such a successful day. Special recognition goes to Paul Parmar, Cowichan United Way Campaign Assistant for organizing this event.

Check out the great pic from the day of Duncan Mayor Phil. Kent as he was one of our brave volunteers. Thank you, Mr. Mayor!!

Come Check Out the United Way Dunk-Tank on July 16th/17th from Noon-6 in front of City Hall.

The Dunk-Tank is a staple at the Duncan Summer Festival, that’s why we are very proud to be hosting it this year. We have hosted the Dunk-Tank in the past, and it has been a very profitable fund-raiser for Cowichan United Way. Of course, Cowichan United Way distributes the money out to local non-profit agencies who provide essential services; Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cowichan Valley Hospice Society, Cowichan Women Against Violence Society, and the Canadian Red Cross are just a few examples of the sixteen agencies to which we provide funds. In fact, over 35% of the Cowichan Valley population will access one or more of our services each year!

So, you can feel really good about dunking someone at this year’s Dunk-Tank not just because it is fun to see and be a part of but also because you are funding essential community services for people living in the Cowichan Valley!
